Girl Commits Suicide over Photoshop

Posted by Snake-Arsenic Jul. 19, 2007 @ 4:39 PM EDT

Photoshop threads are destroying the creative outlets of users of programs like Gimp and Paint Shop Pro throughout the world, and their lives.

"I used to like changing pictures, but now I never get the chance." - Sheila Tequila

This quote was from a Paint Shop Pro user and professional editor's suicide note. She recently lost her job at a popular fashion magazine because they weren't made in Photoshop, here is their reply.

"If it's not Photoshop, it's inadmissible as a picture."

Will you stand for this? To help you decide, below is the last picture modified by Sheila Tequila, coincidentally fitting as she slit her wrists and was found in a massive pool of blood.

To save lives image threads must be available to all programs.
What are your thought and opinions?

Go to http://www.snakehole.net/gallery/wallpaper/digital_hell/ on my web site, there's two blood-soaked wallpapers waiting to be downloaded.

This is almost as pointless as the kid who killed himself over his WoW character. >:/ It's also a fine example of why you should learn more than one skill in life. So you don't kill yourself foryour ONE primary skill going out of date. :/

You do know this is fake, right? ; )

I use whatever will give me what I want at the time to get effect I want, and switch between programs. I have Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop.

wow. its a bracelet. thats not really that photoshopped at all except the blood on the knife.

Jul. 27, 2007 | 3:42 PM Snake-Arsenic responds:

You completely missed the whole point of this entry and went straight to the paint shop pro image. People are killing themselves over what seems to be the smallest things by most people's standards and I used photoshop threads to show it.
Wow, someone who doesn't understand the point of the entry, wow.

people generalize and call it photoshopping like when they say "can i see your ipod?" even though they know that you arent a retard and most likely dont have an ipod. or before when the teachers would say "put your walkman away" people generalize and since photoshop is basically, the industry standard, thats the term they use. not "ZOMG, NICE DIGITALLY ALTERED PICTURE LAWL"
